Prints

In the photo section you will find many different products such as photo prints, FineArt prints, passport photos, photo sets and much more. Find out how to order these products in bulk or individually.

Software menu

Once you have selected the article in the Product selection, a window with three different menus will open. You can change the size of the menu by hovering your mouse over the edge of the menu and when the cursor changes to a double-headed arrow, click and hold the mouse button. From there, you can easily resize the menu by dragging it to make it bigger or smaller.

Image sources menu

To add photos, go to the top left menu and select the folder where your images are stored. You can browse through the folders or enter the specific path. The menu also has three buttons: Projects to return to the main menu, Save to save your selected photos in the Projects folder with a custom name, and Settings for customization options.

Photos they are selected are indicated with a tick mark. If a photo has been added multiple times, it will display the corresponding number beside it. Located at the bottom is the Add selected images button, which allows you to effortlessly add the chosen images from the source folder to a photo product. In the bottom left corner, you’ll find two buttons: Select all and Deselect all. These buttons provide a convenient way to either select or unselect all the displayed images in one click. In the bottom right corner, you’ll discover the display options. Similar to the Designer interface, photos can be sorted by name, type, date, usage, or rating. Furthermore, you have the ability to adjust the size of the photo thumbnails by clicking the View button and selecting your desired size. Additionally, you can toggle the Show filename option on or off within this section.

You can easily view an enlarged version of the images by clicking on the magnifying glass icon that appears when you hover your mouse over the thumbnail. This action will open a window displaying a larger image. Within this window, you can navigate between images by simply clicking on the Back and Next buttons, allowing you to seamlessly move from one image to another.

Photo products menu

The lower menu displays the images selected for printing as a specific photo product. A tab is created for each product and size selected. By clicking on these tabs, you can easily view the selected images within them. If you wish to remove a tab and the images selected within it, simply look for the cross icon to the right of the item description. Clicking on this cross icon will immediately remove the tab and its associated images, giving you an easy way to manage your selections. Images can also be moved between tabs using drag and drop.

In the bottom right corner you can switch between two views: normal image view or list view to display your images.
In the bottom left corner you will find the following buttons:
Select all, select all photos in this article.
Deselect, deselect all selected photos in this article.
Remove selected, deletes all selected photos from this article.
Copy to new article, copies the selected photos from this article to a new one, making it easy to order the same images in different articles.
When you hover your mouse over an image, you’ll see buttons to edit or delete it. Additionally, you can adjust the number of image copies by changing the value in the unit box. These options give you flexibility and control over managing your images effortlessly.

Select images

When selecting images to print, remember that each selection is specific to a particular product and size. This means you’ll need to add images separately for each product and size. For example, if you want to print the same image as both a 21 x 30 photo print and a 30 x 45 FineArt Baryta, you’ll need to add the image twice, once for each product. You can select as many units per image as you like.

To add photos, simply select them from the top menu. The selected photos will be marked with a tick and a blue border. Once you’ve selected all the photos you’d like to print for a particular product and size, click the Add selected images button or drag them to the bottom menu. If you have previously sorted your image selection and would like to keep the same organisation, you should drag and drop the images in the same order.

A product selector will appear. By default, it will show the previously selected product. However, you can select a different product from the left column. All available single image products will be displayed. The characteristics of the selected product are displayed in the middle column, where you can configure options such as finish or format.

The right column shows all the photos you’ve selected and added. You can increase the number of copies for each photo by adjusting the value below it. You can either click the arrows or enter the number manually. To set the same number of copies for all selected photos, enter the quantity in the Quantity box at the bottom of the menu. You can also change the number of copies later.

Each photo will have a coloured box in the top left corner indicating the image quality based on the selected product.

When you move your mouse over an image, two buttons will appear. Clicking the edit button will open a window where you can make final adjustments to the photo. Clicking the delete button will remove the image from the selection. Both buttons will also be available in the Product tab later. Once you have finished configuring the product, click Insert.

Edit images

Once the images have been added as a product, you can easily make colour adjustments and crop them. When you move your mouse over an image, a spanner icon will appear. Clicking on it will open the image adjustment window. On the right, you’ll see a preview of the edited image. In the left column you’ll find various adjustment tools.

At the top of the left column, you can change the number of units to add to the basket, check the Image Quality status, delete the image, and select the format. If you choose Landscape or Portrait, a rectangle representing the visible area of the photo product will appear above the image preview. You can resize it by dragging its border with the mouse. To reposition it, click and hold inside the box and drag to the desired part of the image.

If you select Uncropped, the image will be scaled to fit the size of the article without cropping. This may result in white borders on two sides, which you can crop manually if necessary. See Bleed Mode for more details.

Clicking on the Filters button in the left menu will open a menu with various filter options. It works similarly to the Designer. See the Applying Filters article for more information. Pressing the Surfaces and Formats button opens the menu where you can configure the settings for the article and activate the Image Enhancement function. If you select a different configuration, the image saved with the new settings will appear in a separate tab corresponding to the last configuration.

In the bottom right corner you’ll find the Next and Back buttons. These allow you to navigate through all the selected images in the article in the editing window. This feature allows you to quickly review all the images and make any necessary final adjustments to colours and framing. When you’re happy, simply click Save.

Bleed modes

Please note that for production reasons we always produce with a 2 mm bleed all round. This means that a small part of your image will be left off the edge of the image. This area is shown as a red line.

When you order a single image product such as Photo Plaque, FineArt Poster or Photo Prints you can choose between two different bleed modes:

1. Standard mode (cropped)

Your image will be cropped to fit the selected print size. If the aspect ratio of the subject differs from that of the print, parts of your subject will fall off due to the new crop.

2. Individual mode (uncropped) / white borders

When Individual mode is selected, the software will attempt to fit the entire image file onto the output format (minus a 2 mm bleed for production reasons). The deciding factor is the longer side of the file, considering the aspect ratio. If you want to print your 2:3 image file on a 3:4 output format, white margins may appear at the top and bottom.
